Happy New Year to 10 year old Ryan Frazier. Ryan harvested his first buck with a Weatherby 22-250 at 135 yards. Ryan was guided by his Grandfather and Ranch owner Mike. Teaching young hunters is very important to us here at V Bharre. It looks like Ryan is following in his grandfathers foot steps.

Darrell – the current #1 record holder for SCI Non Typical Estate Elk with a handgun has done it again. Thanks to V Bharre Ranch and Darrell’s Muzzleloader, Darrell has climbed into another #1 spot. On Sunday the 26th Christmas came late when Darrell harvested this beautiful 442″ Typical Bull Elk. Darrell awaits yet another plaque from SCI! Way to go Darrell on another World Record!!

Super congrats to V Bharre Ranch hunter/friends Benny and Sam for harvest 2 exceptional deer. Sam’s deer scored 197″ with 2 drop tines and Benny’s deer scored 194″ with 3 drop tines. Wow that’s pretty rare.

Timothy and his father Tim Mikeska, guided by owner Mike Vanecek witness this young man  harvest his first deer. The Mikeska’s were in search of a management deer or a youth deer 120″ or less. Well when your hunting with Mike he going to guarantee you will not be disappointed. Instead of a 120″ or a cull deer Mike green lighted young Timothy on this beautiful 138″ 10 point.

V Bharre Ranch deer season started with a crisp crack of Mark Brown’s .308 on the beautiful 199 4/8″ whitetail deer. Mark was guided by Brad Draughon. Congrats Mark, beautiful deer.

Super congrats to Darrell Slaton for harvesting this amazing 507″ Bull Elk. Darrell used a 7mm 08 pistol to harvest this bull on V Bharre Ranch. Owner Mike Vanecek and Darrell brought the Elk to Master SCI scorer Roy Holdridge and he “offically” scored to bull at 507″ non typical. After researching the SCI score book Darrell is now the official record holder of the Rocky Mountain Elk Estate handgun. The bull will also go #1 in the Trophy Game Record.

Congratulations to Don and Jaynie Harper and their son Darren for harvesting 3 trophy bull Elk on V Bharre Ranch. The Harper’s really showed off their hunting skills as they successfully went 3 for 3 on bull Elk. You would think a hunt like that would take 4 or 5 days. Well with the weather cooperating, skilled guides and determined hunters we were able to achieve this hunt in 2 days including complete processing of their game. “It was a power packed hunt!” The Harper’s Elk scored 371″, 378″ and a impressive 399″. Our new friends from California sure had a Texas size hunt.
